Welcome To My Blog....

Welcome To My Blog....
I love traversing and photographing some of my travels around my home grounds in the Mohawk Valley. But those who know me also know that I am an avid long distance runner, recently running my 38th long distance race. My long time running goal was to run the NYC Marathon which I accomplished last November, and after the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon, to run Boston as well. My son and I have started our quest to conquer and capture (on camera and canvas) NY's 46/100 high peaks. I hope you don't mind me "mixing in" some of these adventures along with my regular posts, as this has become a significant part of my life and my families too! ~Happy Travelin!

Welcome to the Mohawk Valley and Upstate NY!

If you live here already maybe you can share some of your own favorite places to enjoy the beauty, scenery, food, and art of the MV/Upstate area. I've found that many places are often closely guarded secrets that most of us never knew existed unless we happen to stumble on them(like I often do). Others are often inaccessible. Inaccessibility has always been a problem in this area, however projects like the Erie Canal trail system, 840-Judd Rd Trail, Utica Marsh and the opening of
Trenton Falls periodically have made enjoying the outdoors for average upstaters and visitors possible. Enjoy all Upstate NY has to offer!
